Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Statement on St. Patrick's Day 2019
Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a senior Member of Congress, released this statement on the commemoration of St. Patrick's Day 2019:
"This Sunday marks the annual feast day for the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick. In the United States, it has become a moment to celebrate the many Irish-Americans who have made our country the wonderful place that it is. Indeed, whether in politics, culture or sport, individuals from the Emerald Isle have made compelling and meaningful contributions to Houston, to Texas and our nation. I am pleased to wish all a happy, healthy and safe St. Patrick's Day! Dia Duit!"
