Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Recognized by the American Association of University Women in the 115th Congress with a 100% Voting Record Score

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security and Investigations, and senior member of the House Committees on Judiciary, Homeland Security, and Budget, released this statement on the announcement by American Association of University Women of her perfect voting record during the 115th Congress:

“I am pleased to have earned a 100% rating from the American Association of University Women (“AAUW”) for the 115th Congress.  I am a proud to champion the interests of women in higher education and the work done by AAUW, which advocates on behalf of two issues dear to my heart: the cause of women all over the world, and the ability of a higher education to change the fortunes—for the better—of people everywhere, no matter their station in life.  I am committed to supporting women and families and working to achieve equity for real.  I sincerely appreciate this important recognition by the AAUW of my efforts to ensure real economic security, equal access to education and civil rights for all, especially women and families.  As we turn to the 116th Congress, I will continue my advocacy for women, families and educational opportunity for all.”
