Press Statement

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee named 2019 Congressional Member Online All-Star

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a Senior Member of the House Committees on Judiciary, Homeland Security, and Budget released this statement following her designation as a Member Online All-Star:

"I am pleased to once again be selected as a 2019 Member Online All-Star. Each year, House Democrats endeavor to expand our messaging on social media platforms, in order to highlight ways in which House Democrats are working for a better deal, for the people. This year, I am pleased to once again announce my leadership role in this effort. Together with all my colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus, and others who share my distinction as an All-Star, I am proud that House Democrats increased their social media reach by attaining 1.7 million new social media followers. This will enable our ability to highlight ways in which we are lowering the cost of healthcare, investing in our communities by investing in America, and cleaning up corruption. These are the components of a better deal, for the people.

"I am pleased to once again be named an All Star in this competition and that I have been so designated since the inception of this program. I look forward to continuing my advocacy on behalf of hard-working Americans, and look forward to once again being named an All-Star in 2020."
